- What type of files does Snapseed support?JPEG, TIFF, and RAW files are compatible with Snapseed. RAW files are supported when images are transferred from the camera to the iPad using a camera connector kit.
- In Snapseed, what resolution are my photos saved as?Any photos enhanced with Snapseed will be saved at the same resolution as the original photo up to what your iPad will allow. An iPad 1 can save an image up to 6.25 megapixels, an iPad 2 can save an image up to 16 megapixels, and an iPad 3rd Generation can save up to 20.25 megapixels. If your image is larger than your iPad supports, the image will be downsampled to the maximum supported megapixels.
- What is the ideal workflow for RAW images in Snapseed?RAW images are only compatible if transferred onto the iPad using the camera connector kit. After enhancing images, you can either save the photo and sync it back to your computer or email it to yourself.
- In Snapseed, what do I do if my RAW files are still thumbnail size after I transfer them to my iPad using a camera connector kit?If files are showing up as a small thumbnail, go to Settings> Location Services and turn this setting to On for Snapseed. This is required to allow Snapseed to use the iOS RAW processing.
- When working with Snapseed, how do I preserve EXIF data?EXIF data is only preserved when syncing the photo back to your computer directly. Emailing the photo will not save EXIF data. Additionally, please ensure that the Location Services is turned on for Snapseed in the iOS Settings.

- What type of file formats does Snapseed for Mac support? JPG, TIFF and RAW in RGB are compatible with Snapseed for Mac.
- How many computers am I able to install Snapseed for Mac on?You can install Snapseed for Mac on any Mac you own if you use the same Apple ID account via the Mac App Store.
- How do I open an image in Snapseed for Mac?There are 3 different ways to open an image in Snapseed for Mac. You can 1) Choose File>Open to open Finder, 2) Drag photo into the Snapseed interface, or 3) Click on the Snapseed logo on the interface to open Finder.
- How do I save as an 8-bit file?Snapseed currently saves 8-bit files in the sRGB color space. We are looking into supporting 16-bit files in other color spaces.
- Note: TIFF files will always be saved as 8-bit in sRGB, regardless of the settings sent to Snapseed.
- How do I save an image in Snapseed for Mac? (There are 3 different ways to save an image.) 1) You can save an image without renaming it by choosing File>Save. 2) You can save an image by choosing File>Save As and then selecting a specific location. You you can also press the shortcut below the image to save the image with a different filename. 3) You can also click the Save As button in the upper right corner of the image interface.
- How do I share an image in Snapseed for Mac?You can share an image by choosing Share and then selecting Facebook, Flickr, or email as your preferred method.

- I got an error message that my image is not supported, what can I do?If you tried to open a RAW file and got an error message that the file is not supported you may not have the correct RAW codec installed. Please click here to learn more about codecs and how to obtain the correct codec for your camera file.
- How do I save an image in Snapseed for Windows?
- You can save an image without renaming it by choosing File>Save.
- You can save an image and rename it by choosing File>Save As and then selecting a specific location.
- You can also press the shortcut below the image to save the image with a different filename.
- You can also click the Save As button in the bottom of the image interface.
- Note: You can overwrite files (could not do this in 1.0) TIFF files will always be saved as 8-bit in sRGB, regardless of the settings sent to Snapseed.
